Vigil for Schools — Attendance Confirmation Texts

Vigil for Schools sends text messages on behalf of your child's school to confirm attendance reports you make to the school's attendance line.

How to opt in

Parents and guardians opt in one of two ways:

1. Text ATTEND to (319) 300-2273 from the mobile number on file with your school, or
2. Check the "Yes, text me attendance confirmations" box on your school's attendance-line consent form and return it to the school office.

You will receive a one-time confirmation text. You are not required to opt in to use the attendance line or to enroll your child. Messages are sent only to parents and guardians, never to students.

What you'll receive

A confirmation of each absence, late arrival or early pickup you report by phone, and a reply if the school needs to clarify a report. Message frequency varies; typically 1–3 messages per reported absence.

To stop

Reply STOP at any time to cancel. You will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed.
