Vigil ("we"), a service of Iowa Love LLC, provides AI-powered phone answering services: after-hours call answering for Catholic parishes, and Vigil for Schools, an automated attendance line for K-12 schools.

Information we handle

We process information on behalf of the organizations we serve: caller names and contact information, the contents of calls placed to our answering lines (including recordings and transcripts), and — for school clients — student names, grade levels, and guardian contact information provided by schools from their enrollment records. This information is used solely to provide answering and attendance services to the organization the caller dialed, and is shared only with that organization. We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for advertising.

SMS / text messaging

Some Vigil features send text messages — for example, absence confirmations to a parent or guardian who reported a student absence, or operational alerts to client staff.

Mobile opt-in data and consent will not be shared with or sold to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

• Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help.
• Consent to receive messages is not a condition of any purchase.

Parents and guardians provide their phone numbers to their school during enrollment; messages are sent in response to calls they place to the attendance line or as attendance notifications under the school's family-communication practices. Client staff receive operational messages under their organization's service agreement with Vigil.

Data retention & questions

Call records are retained per each client's service agreement. Clients may request correction or deletion of their data at any time.
